- Hub: The hub of the Spinocan Spinal Needle is the handle or connector through which the needle is manipulated by the healthcare provider. The hub is designed to provide a secure grip and control during the insertion and removal process.
- Sterility: The Spinocan Spinal Needle is designed for single-use and is supplied sterile. It should be handled and used following aseptic techniques to minimize the risk of infection.
- Stylet: The Spinocan Spinal Needle features a removable stylet or obturator that is inserted into the needle during the insertion process. The stylet provides rigidity and helps guide the needle into the desired location. Once the needle is properly positioned, the stylet is removed to allow for the collection of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) or administration of medication.
